Great news for physicians with many existing state medical licenses. Here is a list of states that no longer require applicants to obtain verification of past and present licensure directly from the originating state medical boards. If, for any reason, these states can not pull the license verifications from other sources, they will ask the application to get direct source verification.

- North Carolina (One license that has been active for at least five years must be verified for expedited applications.)
