States Requiring State Controlled Substance Licensure
If you plan to write prescriptions in any state, you will have to have a DEA certificate for each state. Some states also require a State Controlled Substance License. This is in addition to the DEA which is also required by these state medical boards. Here is a list of states and territories that require an additional CSR (controlled substance registration), also known as a BNDD (Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs) in Missouri.
