Michigan is Leaving the IMLCC in March 2026
Unless legislature votes against it, the Michigan Board of Medicine is leaving the IMLCC March 28, 2026.
What are the implications for you as a doctor licensed in Michigan through the IMLCC?
If you are licensed in Michigan through the IMLC, you will need to apply directly to the Michigan Medical Board for licensure. With reciprocity and a rush job, you may be able to avoid a break in your practice.
If you are licensed with the IMLC and use MI as your SPL or home state, not only will you need to apply for your MI license directly, but you will have to apply for all other states directly unless you can move your SPL or home state to another participating state.
